It's Not Pilates.
It's Lagree.
Inspired by bodybuilding:
Slow reps, constant tension, every muscle shaking.
Slow is the hard part.

Four counts down, four counts up — not 4 seconds. No momentum, no rest. Keeping a muscle under tension that long recruits the deep fibers fast reps skip. The springs do the loading, so your joints sit this one out.
Coached every second.

Every 45-minute class. Every machine. Springs set, form checked, pace called.

Before you ask
Slow, heavy strength training on a machine called the Mega Pro. It takes its cues from bodybuilding — slow reps and constant tension, which is what builds muscle. But there's no jumping, no bouncing, and no free weights to drop on your feet: spring resistance does the loading while your joints stay out of it, so it's intense and low-impact at the same time.
Yes. That's the point. But Lagree meets you where you are — pace yourself, take breaks when you need them — and it will still humble the most serious athletes. Either way: hard on your muscles, gentle on your knees and back.
No. Most people in class started exactly where you are. Every exercise has a beginner version, and the trainer will set you up before class.
Fitted athletic wear you can move in, plus grippy socks (required). Forget yours? We keep fresh pairs at the front desk.
